HISTORY

After completing a 4 year carpentry/joinery apprenticeship in 1989 John Laney worked for the next 9 years amongst some prominate Geelong builders learning and working in aspects of commercial joinery, shop fitting, formwork and general commercial carpentry duties.

In 1994 John obtained his Domestic Builders license and in 1998 started business as Laney Constructions.

Initially the business started out with domestic building projects in new homes, alterations, extensions and commercial subcontract carpentry work. After obtaining a commercial builders license in 2002 Laney Constructions then decided to broaden its horizons in the building industry and since 2003 has completed many successful projects for clients such as the City of Greater Geelong, Deakin University, CFA, Barwon Water, Hospitals, Schools, Pubs and Clubs and other private commercial sectors.

Over the past 12 years Laney Constructions Pty Ltd has progressively grown locally to become one of Geelong’s smaller sized commercial Builders, continually developing and refining systems to ensure they continue to be a progressive construction company in the Geelong Region.
